As Christians, sometimes we forget who we really are. I was reading 2 Peter 1 today, and discovered verse 9, which says, "For he who lacks these things is short-sighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins." What a powerful verse of scripture! So, when the devil comes at you with accusations, just remind him that those sins don't exist anymore!!

To understand what God thinks of you, and why, will radically change the way you think about God. These truths will heal your heart as you will find that you can solidly hope in the One who died and rose again for you. Courage and confidence are the result of Jesus' healing grace and the "good news" found in the gospel. The transforming love of God has been given to us unconditionally and it reveals God's heart toward us. Christ died for us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). This is a powerful foundational truth.
Even as Christians, sometimes "old things" try to creep in and crowd our thinking. I was experiencing some of that last night. You and I need to remember that, in Christ, "old things" have passed away; behold all things have become new! We are new creatures in Christ. We stand in His righteousness!
