The Son produces the fruit.

David had been reading Deuteronomy, and while he was there, he came across this verse:

Deuteronomy 33:14

King James Version (KJV)
14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon,

It reveals to us that just as the "sun" brings forth the natural fruit on a tree, in the spiritual realm, it's the "Son" that brings forth the fruit in our lives. We don't have to try and manufacture "fruit." Fruit is brought about naturally by the "light" that it receives. In the spiritual realm, Jesus is the light of the world! And in His light, we WILL produce the fruits of righteousness! No worry.

The law was "given," but grace and truth "came." The actual Scripture is this:

John 1:17

New King James Version (NKJV)
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

The law is centered around "commandments." Grace is centered on "kindness." God revealed His kindness toward us by sending us His Son, to die in our place and then be raised so we could have newness of life! What a Savior!

More of God

So often, in churches we attended in the past, we would hear people pray 'God we just need more of you!' or hear "worship" songs with lyrics that cried out for "more of You" (God).
We don't need more of God. We have ALL of Him when we are born again. He lives in us and we live in Him. The following is an excerpt taken from "Grace, the Power of the Gospel," by Andrew Wommack.

The key to the Christian life is the renewing of the mind. When you were born again, your spirit changed - but your natural mind didn't. It remained unrenewed. You don't need more of God in your heart. You already have all of God there. Everything you need is already in your born-again spirit - the life of God, the faith of God, the joy of God, the peace of God, the anointing of God, and everything else that's of God - but it's only going to manifest itself in your life to the degree you renew your mind.

God tells us, according to Romans 12:1-2, that the way of transformation is by the renewing of our minds. Blessings!

Grace stops singing about

what we have to do and stops

reading about what we have to do

to impress God and starts singing to

Him, and thanking Him for His love.

Period.

This is David and I on our 21st wedding anniversary.
Marriage is wonderful with God in the center!

God loves you.
Yes, I know it sounds trite, but it bears repeating. Sometimes we hear something many times over, but we don't actually let it get down into our hearts. Or, sometimes all that we allow to get down into our hearts is the negative stuff; bad names people have called us, negative things that have happened to us, etc. All of us have walls or barriers that we erect to protect ourselves. The problem with that is that we also "protect" ourselves from receiving God's love.

That very phrase, "God loves you," came alive in my heart one day as Pat Robertson spoke those words to me through the television, while watching The 700 Club. It was as if God himself was speaking it to me. That was "the day" that I gave my heart to Jesus. That was "the day" that salvation made sense to me. I realized that I couldn't be in charge of my life. I was not capable. And I knew it at that moment. That was the best moment of my life. I had to reach the "end" of myself before I could find my Savior. Thank you Jesus for being patient with me.

If you are reading this and you don't have a relationship with Jesus, don't wait any longer. Do it today. He loves YOU.

I had a bit of a weird dream last night...I was dreaming about men in space suits! I guess we call these guys Astronauts. I really don't remember much about the dream itself, as far as what happened. But, in this particular dream, the Lord was showing me that the suit they wear can be known as a "salvation suit." In order for them to be prepared for the type of work they have to do and the type of atmosphere in which they inhabit, they have to be prepared or "suited" to that condition.
The Lord was relating [to me] how the space suit (God called it a salvation suit) and our salvation in Christ, are very much alike. The astronaut needs this suit, this equipment, in order to survive his conditions; to LIVE. We, as people, need God's  Holy Spirit to give us His life, seal us, and prepare us for heaven ~ our new home. In reflecting on this, just as the astronaut deals with "atmospheric pressures" we as Christians deal with the "pressures of life." We need to have the strength and power (His very breath in us) of God to not only manage this life, but to be over-comers in this life. Thank God for His Holy Spirit in us! We are suited not only for this earth, but for heaven! [If you have not yet been "sealed," give your life to Jesus today, and let Him live His life through you.]       (photo is taken from wired.com)
