This man made a decision for Christ at age 5..

Watch this man as he tells his story about getting off track, but that God had him safely in His grasp. He had given his life to the Lord at age five. Jesus never left him, not for one minute. He loves us enough to reach out to us and teach us a better way to live! I love His redemptive nature. Be blessed as you watch.

What does it mean to "stand?"

One day I was meditating on the Word and the word "stand" kept coming up in my thoughts. I began asking the Lord what He truly meant by using the word "stand" so many times in the Bible. When a particular word is used many times, it must have great significance.

I looked at certain passages such as, I Peter 5:12, which says in part, "...exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you stand."

I Thes. 3:8, "For now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord."

Col. 4:12 in part, "...that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God."

Eph. 6:13 in part, "...and having done all, to stand."

Gal. 5:1 in part, "Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free..."

There are many more that I have not listed. You can do a search (I use biblegateway.com) for the word 'stand' and see what you come up with. It's quite interesting. The Lord spoke to my heart and said, "You are able to stand when you know that you are forgiven." [Read it over a few times.]

I Cor. 15:1 says, "Moreover brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand."  The gospel is the good news that we have been forgiven! We are able to stand, knowing that we are forgiven! Once and for all time. Our sins have been dealt with and He remembers them no more. The gospel tells me that I have been forgiven..I stand in that forgiveness. What love the Father has for us!

Be sure to watch the video, on this blog, by Joseph Prince titled, "Boast of the Lord's love for you." and be blessed.

Boast of the Lord's love for you, not your love for Him

Spring...Where are you?

Are you having a tough day? Winter can get to feel mighty long right about now...seems to be no end of snow and cold in sight, at least for us northerners. Well, let me rethink that last statement. The south has been getting it this winter, too.

It's pretty easy to become weary if we let ourselves go there. I am the "let me hibernate" type. I would be most happy to crawl into a cave (a warm cave, mind you) and just wait it out 'til Spring. But alas, we don't have that option. Back to reality, Nina.

I love to be an encourager and I think I got a little off track this morning. :/ Forgive me. Lately, I am reading Hebrews. It's such an amazing book of the Bible. While in chapter 9, we are reminded of Christ, our High Priest vs. 11 "But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. vs. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption."

When we are found in Him, we have eternal redemption! The way that it is sometimes preached, you would get the impression that our redemption is 'conditional.' Conditional upon our performance on a daily basis. No, a thousand times no. We belong to Him. A person, at the last day, will either be found in SIN or in CHRIST. I have chosen to be found in Christ. Once and for all time.

Joseph Prince - What is Earnest Prayer to God? - 22 May 2011

This is such a powerful teaching from Joseph Prince. God has given US authority to command things on the earth and in our own bodies. See Luke 10:19 and Titus 2:15
Earnest prayer to God, then, is taking and using the authority that we have been given by God to command situations.

Once at a Christian Women's meeting, God spoke to my heart as I was studying the Word. He said, "The Spirit and the Word work together to bring LIFE to a situation." It was a powerful word to me then, and whenever I repeat it, it's just as powerful in me. In other words, when we who are Spirit-filled (born-again believers) speak the living Word of God TO a situation that needs to change, LIFE goes forth to it. We are speaking life to it. I hope you will meditate on this today...let God speak to your heart about it. And if you need to watch the video several times, do so. Walk in your God-given authority.

Come Over to the New Covenant

David and I have had a revelation of 'grace.' Since that time, we have had a tough time attending some of the churches out there. Not because we don't love our brothers and sisters, because we certainly do! We love and enjoy the fellowship of the saints.

Our problem stems from the fact that so many preachers/teachers are still teaching and preaching as if we are bound to the law. Still living as if the New Covenant hasn't happened yet. It's as if Jesus' sacrifice means nothing. It's a shame and it's not right.

It's time for them (us) to step into the New Covenant! Even Old Testament scripture tells us (looking forward) that there will be a time when this next passage will be a reality for us [and now is]; "The time is coming, declares the Lord, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah." Jer. 31:31 And He goes on to say, "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." Jer. 31:34c  Please read through this chapter for yourself. This is Old Testament! We have the "how much more" of the New Testament!! Ask God to give you revelation on what this means.

We are the New Covenant Church...let's walk in the liberty and grace Jesus suffered and died to provide for us. Let's BE WHO WE ARE as the Church.

There is One Door

Some people try to to tell us that there are many ways to heaven, many ways to God. This is simply not true. How do we know?
Well, Jesus Himself said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6

If you are truly, sincerely seeking God from your whole heart, He will reveal Himself to you. I've seen it over and over again. The Bible also says that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. He will reward you with the truth of who He is. (Heb. 11:6) That is for starters.

Then as you begin to dig into His word, you will find a multitude of promises that He gave to you. By faith, you appropriate the things that He has for you. He has such amazing good plans for your life. For every life, if only people would look to Him. His will is that none should perish. None. His heart is for you beloved.

You are powered up

Sometimes the road ahead looks pretty daunting. The weather can be treacherous at times. Sometimes there are family problems we're not sure how to handle. If we're not careful.. our emotions are up and down like a well pump handle.  Let's face it, we live in a fallen world.

We'd really like it if things in this world were perfect, but it's not to be on this planet. So, we just need to deal with things the way that they are, knowing that we have an edge, an advantage that so many people do not have. Being born again, we have the Lord's Spirit living on the inside of us. We have an overcoming spirit!

Eph. 6:10 says, " Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might." If you read on in the chapter, we have the full armor of God. He hasn't left us defenseless. And He said He would never leave us nor forsake us. He's got us covered. So no matter what you may be facing today...know that you have everything you need to overcome and be victorious. His grace is sufficient for you.
Blessings!
