We know, according to the Bible, that God loves us. Just being honest, sometimes we feel as though He is far from us and we have a hard time sensing His love for us. (There are those pesky five senses again) That's why we are told not to go by what our feelings are telling us. We are to renew our minds to the Word of God.... Rom. 12:2 (the truth)
This is what 1 John 4:7-11 has to say: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
And knowing that we are loved by our Father...we CAN love others. It frees us to love others. In order to love, we first have to receive the Father's love for ourselves. Receive it today as you listen to this song....
